Viewing Notes

Noting that I watched the original Japanese version (aka GODZILLA 1984, aka THE RETURN OF GODZILLA) not the shortened, edited American version titled GODZILLA 1985.

A bit of a return to form for Godzilla, skipping over all the movies that came after the original Godzilla and returning to his stompier, Japan-threatening self, but with lots of awkward pauses where he just stands around!

This really needed more destruction in it, but what’s there is pretty fun. And I liked the awkward Destroyer-X ship because it didn’t try to do too much.
