Viewing Notes

Finally watched this to fulfill a long ago promise to Kadeem Hardison that I would! I met him at a toy convention way back when because he collected Micronauts as well. I was a bit ashamed that I didn’t know any of his movies and I think he’d just finished filming DRIVE and he mentioned it. I told him I’d seek it out and watch it. I never did, so when I watched Wang’s THE GUYVER and looked up what else he’d directed, it reminded me of my promise, so here we are.

The story is a bit silly but it was the ‘90s so who cares. Easily made up for by the great action set pieces featuring Mark Decascos, a lot of great stuntmen and some amazing wire work.

Murphy does a great job of playing a ditzy manic motel manager but it was weird watching knowing she eventually died of an overdose.
