Viewing Notes

It’s refreshing to watch an Australian movie that’s set in a metropolitan area (here, Melbourne) rather than the “outback” or some equally wild no man’s land, which is where movies featuring Australia typically seem to be set.

Hugh Keays-Byrne is great as a slightly weird, upbeat fashion/advertising photographer and I kept wishing he’d had more to do in the film. Fun to see him in a normal role since I’ve only ever really known him as Toecutter and Immortan Joe from the Mad Max movies.

This doesn’t go anywhere you think it will either, which was also surprising.
