The recently widowed mother of two, Sarah, is desperate to know who murdered her husband in front of her young son, rendering him mute. Coerced into helping a low-life drug dealer stash narcotics stolen from the local Mr. Big, she’s forced into taking drastic action to protect her children, evolving from downtrodden submissive to take-charge vigilante.
Length 97 minutes

I’d probably like this more on a rewatch as it requires you to suspend a certain amount of disbelief that I think I’d have an easier time with now. I know these movies aren’t predicated on people making the right, common sense decisions but I still have to believe it’s within the character’s capacity to do the things they do, which is what I was struggling with.
Features a solid anchoring performance from Sarah Bolger, who I think the last thing I saw her in was The Lazarus Effect.
