Viewing Notes

OOF. This thing lands with a thud and never picks itself up off the floor. Directed by and starring Richard Conte.

The score is grating (and that’s being generous) and is probably the biggest annoyance of the film. The wooden acting, washed out colors, mostly uninspired location shooting, and poorly sequenced action scenes don’t help either.

The plot is decent and you can see the bones for a capable wartime thriller here but it just fails to deliver on almost every front.
