The sound design, score and cinematography are excellent. There are some great standout performances from Barry Keoghan and Alicia Vikander as well. The whole doesn’t quite equal up to the sum of it’s parts though.
That’s not to say I was disappointed however. I imagine this will be a film that will grow on me over time.
I would recommend seeing it on the largest screen possible with the best sound possible. I may go see this again this week as it’ll be playing on the Big Show screen, which is massive and has atmos, at Westminster. Only on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7pm however, since THE SUICIDE SQUAD will take over on Thursday.
