Viewing Notes

Fourth movie, my pick. I just got this two disc remastered set from Warner Archive and was amazed to discover it has the film in three different aspect ratios, 1.85 x 1, 1.66 x 1, and 1.37 x 1 which is the unmasked print; all three of which have been remastered from new 4K scans!

We watched the 1.66x1 version as it was what was intended for British audiences originally.

Lee makes for a great monster but doesn’t get nearly enough screen time. Cushing’s Frankenstein is such a dick in this film and he does a great job with the role. One of my favorite Hammer films.
