A stylistically unique telling of Hickok’s last days, peppered with numerous flashbacks shot in grainy, overblown black and white (maybe 16mm even?). An amazing cast, anchored with excellent performances by Bridges and Barkin as Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane, respectively. Barkin makes a great firecracker and I wish we would have gotten a Calamity Jane movie featuring her.
Another Walter Hill hole filled!
