Widowed mother Holly is radically tested when her teenage daughter Betsey experiences a profound enlightenment and insists that her body is no longer her own, but in service to a higher power. Viewing Notes
Our first virtual film for DFF44. Not sure how I feel about the horror tag on this, but whatever. Still a really well done film that engages you from start to finish. It deals with religion and faith in ways that are challenging and mature without forcing anything on the viewer or making any sorts of compromises to beat you over the head with understanding what it’s saying or doing.
