Viewing Notes

Not sure what I was expecting, but probably something either crazier or just less average. It has some fun moments but overall feels similar to Ana Lily Amirpour’s sophomore effort THE BAD BATCH. In fact, it’d probably be mildly fun to watch them as a double feature.

Both films want to create a unique, dystopian world but neither gets as radically crazy as they have the potential to be. Maybe I’ve just watched too many Italian post-apocalyptic movies to have an objective opinion on it though.
