Viewing Notes

Another odd historical adventure film from one of the Hammer Indicator box sets. From the same director as THE BRIGAND OF KANDAHAR and, like that film, doesn’t exactly fit the mold you expect from this sort of movie.

I liked this one better than BRIGAND as it felt like it was put together better and flowed well. Lionel Jeffries and Oliver Reed steal the show from the ostensible good guy lead, and it’s a lot of fun to watch them revel in their bad guy performances.
