Made back when evolution was about as excepted an idea for the general public as it now is(n’t) for Republicans. Also when things like monkeys, chimpanzees, orangutangs and gorillas were “exotic” creatures from savage lands that great empires were doing the favor of colonizing.
I love Lugosi’s look as Dr. Mirakl.
