American professor John Holden arrives in London for a conference on parapsychology only to discover that the colleague he was supposed to meet was killed in a freak accident the day before. It turns out that the deceased had been investigating a cult lead by Dr. Julian Karswell. Though a skeptic, Holden is suspicious of the devil-worshiping Karswell. Following a trail of mysterious manuscripts, Holden enters a world that makes him question his faith in science.

An interesting, low budget, old school horror where more is inferred than shown (though the titular demon makes an appearance in the first scene). very British but also nicely creepy and eerie at times. I watched the full original uncut British version. There are three other versions on the two disc set as well, including the cut British version, cut American version (known as Curse of the Demon) and the uncut American version but with the Curse of the Demon title.
Glad to have finally checked this off my to-watch list!
