Viewing Notes

This one’s a bit clunky, with an affable but inert Lon Chaney Jr. as the monster, with some questionable effects. Atwill once again turns in a great performance as a mad scientist, probably his 1000th time playing a variation of the same character. But he does it so well! Worth watching for his performance alone. By the same director who did THE WOLF MAN the same year with Chaney. Go figure.
