Viewing Notes

A decent little thriller with Karloff of as a jealous, controlling doctor. Turhan Bey gets a good bit of screen time here as the hero and Gale Sondergaard gets to play against type as well and gets something more to do than menace in the background. Good for both of them!

It feels like this is supposed to be related to one of the Phantom of the Opera movies but… it isn’t? It gives off that vibe without ever actually being connected.
