This is such a mixed bag. It’s so kinetic, not always in a good way, and over-the-top, with every old kaiju thrown in, plus a few new variations (I’m looking at you Pegasus-Ghidorah) as well as aliens and mutants that it’s just too much. That’s not to say there isn’t some fun stuff in this because there is. The final battle between Pegasus-Ghidorah and Godzilla/Mothra is plenty of fun, as are some of the other battles, but most are short-lived because they had to move on to the next thing they jammed in.
Loved the old Tohoscope logo and the opening credits. Also, there are obvious influences from STAR WARS and THE MATRIX at play here as well. Maybe too obvious to be entertaining.
