Viewing Notes

Felt a bit off this evening so my mood wasn’t perfect for this, but it was still fun and pretty much met my expectations. Too bad the trailer gives away so many of the funny moments, although it does deceive you about the plot which is great. Pine and Rodriguez do a lot of water carrying for the film. Without them really selling their characters, this would have fallen flat. Grant looks miserable in this and really miserable in the cast intro which plays before the film starts. Sophia Lillis is awesome in everything she does, no less so here. I kept trying to place her and before the film ended figured out she was in GRETEL & HANSEL, but totally spaced she was in IT. I loved the Owl Bear and the Gelatinous Cube (and how they’re used).

This was my 100th film for the month of March. WHAT!
