Viewing Notes

An weird blend of late ‘80s eroticism, sexual violence and crime thriller that feels like a combination of late night Cinemax, an Adam Ant video and Cafe Flesh. While it seems most interested in titillation, the sexual violence doesn’t fit well with that. It also seems to want to celebrate sexual liberation in its title character while simultaneously humiliating her and making her the subject of violence. A weird film, made odder by the fact it’s filmed in 1:33 which suggests it was made for screening on TV. This is one of those movies you wish you’d stumbled across on late night TV back in the day after a night out on the town.
