Pretty slight outing from Shrader. It’s so evenly toned that you don’t ever build up a connection with any of the characters, so you don’t much care what happens to anyone with the exception of the garden and plants they tend to.
The strongest performance comes from Sigourney Weaver as the genteel, casually racist and classist, estate and gardens owner who employs Joel Edgerton’s character. Employs in more ways than one…
