This feels very much like it was made in 1980, which is a good thing. It has that great, spare vibe to it and certainly got its inspiration from Carpenter’s HALLOWEEN. Though musically it has its moments, it’s kind of hit and miss with the soundtrack, which is a major driving force in Carpenter’s film. That aside, this has some interesting, inventive kills, even the ones it doesn’t show, and Suzanna Love makes a great innocent final girl.
There’s certainly a better movie that could have been made from the premise, but this was more enjoyable than I thought it was going to be.
