I don’t think I’ve watched this since the first time in the ‘80s after it came out. Much better than I recalled, not that I could recall much. I’m pretty sure most of my memories of this series is from the second prequel instead of the original. I was surprised to see Van Damme’s name in the credits under stunts. He plays a soldier in this but I didn’t recognize him. The best scene in the film is Juliet Lee’s seedy, Casiotone-backed cover of Rod Stewart’s “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” in a Bangkok brothel/bar. I really want a recording of that!
