Viewing Notes

I had higher hopes for this even though I knew it wasn’t great. It looks pretty, if overly CGI’ed, but it runs at a weirdly consistent rushing pace where it never takes a breather. Regardless of what’s going on, this gets monotonous and I started to lose focus. The movie also likes its exploded isometric views of weapons and how their firing mechanisms work, which is ok sometimes but is again overused. The weapons shots punctuate the action scenes to an annoying degree and when combined with the slow motion while camera changes angles shots, they too get repetitious and boring.
