Sticking with the crazy Asian cinema theme for our movie night, our third film is this new release from 88 Films. This also continues the streak of Hong Kong films doing some pretty terrible things to innocent characters. The always fun-to-watch Anthony Wong turns in a more understated performance for a good portion of the film which helps to make the unhinged moments of his character more impactful. To be honest, I was expecting a little more craziness similar to something like EBOLA SYNDROME, but it’s still a fun and shocking watch.
I have to say I really appreciate 88 Films’ new slimmer style Blu-ray cases.
