Viewing Notes
The verité style employed in this reminded me of WILD GOOSE LAKE, which makes sense because they’re both by the same director. I love all the little odd touches like the house left in the lobby of the apartment complex, the fireworks, etc. that add so much quirky realism to the film without contributing anything to the actual plot. It gives the movie a very lived in feel and helps ground everything.
