Overview
A widow deceives her late husband’s mother and brothers into thinking he’s still alive when she attends the yearly memorial to his drowned sister, hoping to secure his inheritance, but her cunning is no match for the demented, axe-wielding thing roaming the grounds of the family’s Irish estate.

Viewing Notes
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this, and that was the hacked version on DVD. This is my first time watching the director’s cut which seemed much better and tighter. The cinematography is excellent. The opening shot of the dock jutting out into the water of the lake is great and really sets the tone for the rest of the film.
An inadvertent AIP double feature!
