Part two of an accidental 1979 double feature! The scenes in the mother’s house when you first get fleeting glimpses of one of the children is as creepy as anything Cronenberg’s done.
If I’m not mistaken the opening scene in the institute looks like the same room where the opening scene of the “demonstration” in SCANNERS took place. In fact, there is a guy in the crowd who gets framed between Oliver Reed and his male patient that looks very similar to the exploding head guy in SCANNERS as well. Now I need to rewatch SCANNERS.
