Viewing Notes

It’s easy to see why they didn’t make another after this kind of lackluster followup to the remake of [REC]. Despite being released in 2011, this never got a Blu-ray release and it’s hardly ever on streaming channels these days. I managed to pick up the DVD for cheap and I have to say it looks almost as good as a Blu-ray in my home theater. You wouldn’t know if I didn’t tell you.

You could substitute in MAGA anti-vaxxers for the infected and it’d be like watching the news during the pandemic. While there are a small handful of sympathetic characters that get done dirty, for the most party you’re happy to see these assholes die. I’m dealing with the flu-like after effects of getting the latest COVID booster so my capacity for giving a shit about dumb people is lower than usual, even if they’re just characters in a movie.
