Viewing Notes

My fifth film of DFF46. This is a really well done French film about tolerance and acceptance of (or lack thereof) people who are slowly mutating into animals. The mutating people are of course stand-ins for whatever you need them to be, whether that be trans people, people of difference race, etc.

The effects are really well done and everything is grounded heavily in reality. I don’t know if this played at Fantastic Fest but it seems like it would have been the type of film they’d program.

I thought I recognized the actor who plays the female gendarmerie and it turns out it’s Adèle Exarchopoulos who is also in SMOKING CAUSES COUGHING.
