Viewing Notes

IMDB has this listed as directed by Godfrey Ho (well, in one of the two listings it has for the movie, one showing a release date of 1984 and the other 1986), but it appears to be a repackaged version of the 1983 film TRAINING CAMP, which I can’t find a listing for on either TMDB or IMDB.

At any rate, this is amazingly coherent start to finish (although the tree vines attacking the women bears explaining). The first half is typical women-in-prison stuff, but the second half really picks up with some fun run and gun battles between the escapees and the prison guards chasing them.

No one’s winning any awards for this movie but I had a good time with it, especially the second half.

There’s a little better quality version of the same pan-and-scan print (both obviously sourced from VHS) on Freevee if you don’t mind putting up with ads. Otherwise both versions are the same as far as I can tell.
