Hong Kong filmmakers in the ‘80s and ‘90s never really shied away from violence inflicted on children. If the plot involves children it’s a good bet they’re going to die in some horrific way. RUN AND KILL takes this to extremes and it’s just so jolting to see. Simon Yam’s character is full-on mental in this.
