A nicely subdued performance from Crowe juxtaposed with Gillan’s character who seems on the verge of tears or a nervous breakdown for nearly all her scenes makes for a mixed bag, but overall I liked it well enough. This may be the first performance of hers that I didn’t like.
Shot entirely in Australia doing a stand-in for some ivy-league school city in America.
