A masked maniac with a penchant for a monster-themed board game is playing his own twisted game with the women of a small American town. Each time the dice are rolled, another victim meets a grisly end. Returning home to mourn the death of her murdered sister, Keegan befriends local cop Roger and reclusive cinema projectionist Billy — but soon finds herself in the killer’s sights.

I love the first 15 minutes or so of this movie, which is entirely centered around the stalking and killing of the first victim. It takes its time and does a great job of ratcheting up the tension. The rest of the movie never quite lives up to that potential but it’s still a fun watch. I wish they’d done more with the old theater since they seemed to heavily hint at it being integral to the story early on.
