Viewing Notes
This is like two movies mashed together and while it mostly works due to the action chops of Yeoh and Rothrock and the comedy bumbling trio of John Sham, Mang Hoi and Tsui Hark, I do wish there was more of Yeoh and Rothrock. They drop off at times when the story turns to focus on the thieves and loses some of its momentum. I imagine they didn’t quite know what they had in Yeoh and Rothrock until after this came out. Again, this feels like half of a LUCKY STARS movie.
