The action is great but the constant misogyny gets tiring. I read the booklet for this and the reason Cynthia Khan took over the lead from Michelle Yeoh is that Yeoh had married Dickson Poon and “retired” from acting because female actors were expected to retire upon marriage. Sheesh. Luckily that marriage didn’t last and we got a lot more Michelle Yeoh. And bonus, we also got Cynthia Khan!
