Overview

Viewing Notes
I’m never disappointed in the visuals (set and costume design) of Zhang Yimou’s films and this one is no exception. There’s a lot of Shakespearean court intrigue going on in this and while its not on the same level as some of his other films, its still interesting. Pretty fun watching Chow Yun-Fat and Gong Li play against each other and watch Yun-Fat really dig into a shitty, evil character.
