A fun take on the old dark house trope. I love that the guy just decides to hide himself in a secret room behind a mirror and die there so no one can find his body and his will cannot be enforced for five years! Once again, the locations, lighting and cinematography are outstanding. So much craftsmanship in these black and white films that just cannot be matched by color cinematography.
