Viewing Notes

While the trailer and synopsis, etc. make this seem it’s more about the husband and his new position as a judicial investigator, it’s really about the impacts of that and the political unrest in Iran and how those things impact the women of his family (his wife and two teenage daughters (well, one is 21 but in essence still treated like a teenager)) and the deteriorating relationship between them all.

It really shines a light on the insidious ways totalitarian regimes can compromise an individual’s moral integrity and belief systems and the impacts that has on social structures.

Very disturbing to watch this, even though it’s about Iran, given what’s happening in this country right now.
