Outstanding! Now I’m sad I didn’t catch this in the theater. This really needs a 4K release. Pretty much everything about this is great, but I especially liked that they really embraced the trauma of WWII and wove it into the plot. I don’t know if that’s in the original book or not but it’s nice to see a movie set just after WWII that doesn’t shy away from the generational trauma it caused and was largely ignored in favor of false bravado in movies after the war.
