Viewing Notes

From the director of DEATH SPA (which came out the year before this) and MY MOM IS A WEREWOLF which was released the same year.

So very much of its time and place, namely the late ‘80s in Los Angeles during the height of the crack epidemic. This would pair well with COLORS which came out around the same time. It’s not as good as COLORS and overall not a great movie. Both the leads were first time actors and they used a lot of gang members as extras and for secondary roles. Delivery of dialogue is amateurish at times and the pacing leaves everything kind of flat. Even the big moments don’t really grab you like they should.
