Viewing Notes

Starts off wobbly but improves as it goes. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this and I was expecting more outright comedy with Chase in the lead. Maybe my least favorite Carpenter film but it’s not bad. Hannah works well as the love interest/co-conspirator and Neill is great as the unhinged government agent. Weird to see Carpenter direct something he didn’t write or do the music for, and if I recall correctly, not a great experience for him either.
