A sort-of sequel to FORBIDDEN PLANET but set in current (i.e. 1950s) California, this is a combination of light, goofy sci-fi imperfectly wedded with a more serious plot involving a super computer that wants to rule the world. Robby the Robot is in this as well, which is a little hard to explain, so they mention something about possible time travel and just kind of leave it all alone.
The invisible boy’s dad is a dick and he’s supposed to be the hero I guess. The boy himself is a fucking lunkhead who probably grows up to be an incel.
This is an extra on the FORBIDDEN PLANET disc and mainly watchable for the appearance of Robby and its relationship to FP, otherwise I wouldn’t bother.
