Viewing Notes

Finally received my Eureka Wallace Krimi box set so I decided to dig into it. Despite a great electronic score and excellent cinematography, the film isn’t as good as I’d hoped it would be. The primary characters seesaw back and forth which feels more like pointless flailing and the final act, while set up to have a big battle between the Chinese cult and Scotland Yard, just kind of fizzles out.

Beautiful print of the film though, and again, the cinematography is great to look at even when the on-screen happenings feel pointlessly convoluted.
