First film of the marathon and one I’d seen before. From the Shout Factory Blu-ray. I like this film in part because it’s quite different from most of Hammer’s horror output; and a refreshing take on vampire lore. Too bad they never made a sequel. I really like John Cater’s performance as the learned professor, hunchback, and traveling companion; as well as Caroline Munro as a tagalong helper and intimate companion who is saved from the stocks, where she was placed for dancing on a Sunday.
HINT: TIME to put the HAMMER down with the only man alive feared by the walking dead!
