Viewing Notes

A mostly fun and successful remake that’s a little too long and yet not long enough to feel like that ending wasn’t rushed. This doesn’t really feel that much like an Edgar Wright movie, which is odd. Good for him getting the work but any number of other directors could’ve handled this material fine (maybe better?). Maybe it’s just me, but I’d rather see him direct his own original work than do things like this.

Not the movie’s fault, but it’s hard to do a dystopian movie like this during the current political climate, which isn’t too far off from the events depicted on-screen; just change the name from The Network to FOX News and there you have it. Cera’s character was great and it was nice to see Lee Pace again even if his faced was covered most of the time.
