Viewing Notes

One of the funnest times I’ve EVER had in a movie theater! The Avengers was a near perfect super hero movie experience full of humor and action.

I particularly enjoyed Mark Ruffalo’s performance as Bruce Banner, but The Hulk really stole the show here. He’s a great ensemble character and shines in a group so much brighter than he does on his own (and yeah, I’m a fan of Ang Lee’s Hulk).

I thought Scarlett Johansson also did an admirable job as The Black Widow. She had to convey a lot of character depth without a lot of expository dialogue and I think she pulled it off well.

Ruffalo and Johannson brought a level of humanity to the group that would’ve been missing otherwise, giving it a solid footing in ‘reality’, for lack of a better word.
