After having seen The Woman and discovering it was a sequel to Offspring, I had to track this down and watch it. Offspring isn’t as technically good as The Woman, each directed by different individuals, but it still packs a hell of a punch and is pretty grisly.
There are lots of unexpected things that happen, keeping you interested, with enough gore and horror to make you clench your legs together more than once!
The acting here is pretty decent, though not quite as good as the creeped out performances from The Woman. Pollyanna McIntosh does play the woman in both films, and while she’s at her feral best in The Woman, she does a damn good job of creeping the shit out of you in Offspring as well.
Bottom line, if you enjoyed The Woman, you’ll enjoy Offspring as well.
