Viewing Notes
Not nearly as strong as Steel Helmet, Merrill’s Marauders was Fuller’s “test” picture that was supposed to get him studio backing to do his own script, The Big Red One (which wouldn’t get made until 1981 since Fuller had a fallout with the studio over edits to Marauders).
It still has Fuller written all over it and it’s well worth the watch.
