Viewing Notes

An interesting, though not entirely successful, film with a great cast! Lancaster does his usual standup job, but the real scene stealer is Claude Rains as Arthur Martingale, the mine owner. He plays an affable, double dealing, can’t-quite-trust-him, but still likeable character and does a great job at it. Corinne Calvet does a great job as well, and she’s pretty easy on the eyes as they used to say.

Certainly not a classic, but still an interesting watch.
