Viewing Notes
I drove into Chicago to catch a Northwest Chicago Film Society screening of this in 35mm with my friend Jay. It was definitely worth the trip! Even though I’ve seen the movie twice before in its entirety (and who knows how many times I’ve seen portions of it), it was a special treat to see it in a vintage theater in 35mm. The print was in excellent shape, very clean, great tonal contrast and film grain.
This is the first NWCFS screening I’ve managed to get to, but I’ll definitely try to make it to more. There was a pretty good crowd in attendance too.
