A pretty decent movie with great performances by Spencer Tracy and Robert Wagner.
This is one of Wagner’s meatier roles, similar to A Kiss Before Dying, where he gets to foil his natural good looks by playing a vain, selfish, shallow character at a time when he was mostly getting cast on his looks only.
Tracy steals the movie though, with a very strong performance. The mountain climbing scenes (and let’s be honest, there simply aren’t enough of them) are pretty good, naturally tense and very realistic.
